Cucumber Achieves Microsoft Gold Partner Status

03/11/2017

Cucumber is proud to have achieved Gold Partner status with Microsoft in the Application Development competency. This cements our positioning in the market and paves the way for our exciting roadmap of work within Digital Experience and Innovation.

To add a further feather to the cap, we’ve also achieved the Silver Cloud Platform competency. This recognises our additional and growing capabilities in the Azure cloud platform. This milestone has come through the last 14 years of commitment to Microsoft technologies, developing high quality solutions to customer problems, as well as investing in, recruiting and training the best software developers available globally.

Gold Partner status is the highest level that can be obtained from Microsoft, and recognises achievement of the highest standards required in their partner program. For Cucumber this means quality access to on-going support, information regarding the Microsoft product roadmap and toolsets that help us operate our own business. From our customer’s perspective, we’re able to offer them the best advice and solutions based on a close and committed relationship to our technology partners.

Cucumber have developed a large number of solutions using the Platform-as-a-Service (“PaaS”) services available in Azure and are constantly evaluating new/evolving offerings such as Machine Learning, Big Data & Analytics and IoT solutions. The importance of considering all elements of the cloud platform has increased in recent years, and Cucumber are investing in understanding how our customers can gain competitive advantage through these emerging technologies.

“We have recognised that using an agile, DevOps approach to solution development requires not only excellent development skills, but also excellent platform skills” says Stuart Marwick, Service Manager at Cucumber. “Gaining recognition from Microsoft for these combined competencies is a key part of our business strategy in ensuring we consider the application and the platform holistically. This ensures we deliver the best possible outcomes for our customers on their digital transformation journeys. It is an exciting step in our quest to bring to the market tomorrow's technology solutions, today!”
