Web Design & Development

Buttermilk

The Brief

Buttermilk is looking to deliver a bold and dynamic first by bringing together four commercial sectors into one comprehensive development: 14.5 Ha of commercial capability in Putaruru.

  • Retail Park
  • Agri Park
  • Trade Park
  • Auto Park

The focus of Buttermilk is to provide a home for the vast range of business groups that service the rural sector. Buttermilk is, in essence, a permanent fieldays.

Buttermilk approached us to provide web design and development services, and then host the live website. We had a short timeframe to deliver the solution and it was critical that we kept to the Buttermilk brand requirements. While the brand requirements were specific, Buttermilk was keen to make sure we had latitude to express our design creativity.

The Process

Our Interactive Art Director, Rich McCoy and Senior Web Developer, Mark Shingleton worked together to create this website.

At a high-level, we used the following process to deliver the Buttermilk website: We…

  • Interviewed the business owner to understand the website objectives, the brand direction, and the Buttermilk business.
  • Created a design concept that fitted with the uniqueness of the Buttermilk value proposition and the online vision.
  • Developed the website using an agile / collaborative approach to meet the delivery expectations and keep Buttermilk in the loop.
  • The website design therefore informed the creative direction of all design assets e.g. print flyers for field days, going forward to ensure consistency of brand.

The Result

Buttermilk now has a focal point to illustrate the concept and explain the benefits of their unique value proposition.

The website we delivered was designed and produced quickly to enable the business to promote Buttermilk immediately. The project met budget expectations and has generated a number of interested parties through the subscription sign-up process.

The website design has also informed and led the direction of subsequent print assets.

Buttermilk is now keen to develop phase two of the website project as the business expands.
